Three Local Police officers in San Javier have been injured after being attacked with large stones near the town’s funeral home. The incident happened on Monday evening, when officers were called to reports of a man blocking a nearby street.
According to authorities, the suspect had built a barrier of rocks across the road. When police officers and municipal workers arrived to remove it, he began throwing large stones at them, causing injuries to three officers.
A police patrol car and a municipal brigade lorry were also seriously damaged during the incident. The man was eventually restrained and arrested following a joint operation involving Local Police and Civil Guard officers. An investigation into the circumstances is ongoing.
