Spanish National Police have arrested a 27-year-old British fugitive in the Alicante town of Algorfa, following a request from UK authorities.
The man was the subject of an International Arrest Warrant issued in June 2026 for drug trafficking offences committed between 2023 and 2024. Investigators say he was part of an organised crime group distributing cocaine, cannabis and heroin, and was regarded as one of the United Kingdom’s top criminal targets.
Police said he was considered extremely dangerous, with alleged involvement in serious offences involving firearms. Officers also believed there was a high risk of him fleeing, as he could face a life sentence if convicted.
After several days of investigations, officers located him near his home in Algorfa and arrested him without incident. He has been placed before Spain’s Central Court to begin extradition proceedings to return him to the United Kingdom.
