A magnitude 4.1 earthquake was felt across several municipalities in the Region of Murcia at around midday on Sunday. The tremor prompted concern among residents, with many taking to social media to share their experiences.
Spain’s National Geographic Institute confirmed the final magnitude at 4.1, after initial assessments had placed it between 3.9 and 4.4. The revision followed further analysis of seismic data.
There have been no immediate reports of serious damage or injuries linked to the quake. Local authorities continue to monitor the situation, although the tremor appears to have caused alarm rather than significant impact.
