A total of 24 volunteers are taking part in a special summer operation in Pilar de la Horadada, which will remain active until September. The initiative aims to reinforce safety, prevention and assistance for residents and visitors during the busiest months of the year.
Two fixed teams will operate each day. One will focus on forest fire prevention, carrying out patrols in rural and woodland areas using 4×4 vehicles, while a rapid response vehicle will remain on standby in Pinar de Campoverde. Volunteers will work alongside firefighters if an incident occurs.
The second team will provide information and assistance in coastal areas, supporting the Local Police and lifeguards, particularly during summer events and markets. The operation is supported by three off-road vehicles, a first intervention water tanker, and several motorcycles, with all teams connected by radio to ensure a swift and coordinated response.
