Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport has recorded 10,061,138 passengers in the first six months of 2026, an increase of 9.3% compared with the same period last year. Valencia Airport handled 6,053,881 passengers, up 8%, according to figures released by Aena.

In June, Alicante welcomed 2,123,528 travellers, 10.5% more than in June 2025. International traffic, which accounts for the majority of passengers, rose by 11.3% to 1,880,424. Domestic traffic reached 242,702 passengers, a 5.6% increase. The UK was the largest international market, with more than 700,000 passengers, followed by Germany, Poland and the Netherlands.

Valencia Airport recorded 1,174,452 passengers in June, an 8.8% rise year on year. International traffic grew by 11.6% to 899,904 passengers, while domestic numbers edged up by 0.4% to 272,850. Italy was the leading international market, followed by the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and France.

In terms of operations, Alicante handled 13,153 flights in June, up 12.1%, bringing the total for the first half of the year to 63,978 movements, a 9.5% increase. Valencia managed 8,713 flights during the month, 5.3% more than a year earlier.
