Spain’s State Meteorological Agency, AEMET, has extended a yellow warning for adverse weather across parts of the Region of Murcia for Monday.
The alert applies to the Altiplano and North West mountain areas, where heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected. Forecasters have warned that rainfall could reach up to 20 litres per square metre within an hour.
A yellow warning indicates a risk of localised disruption, particularly in areas prone to surface water and poor drainage. Storms may also bring lightning and sudden downpours.
Residents are advised to remain cautious, avoid flood-prone areas during heavy showers, and keep up to date with official forecasts and emergency guidance throughout the day.
