Torrevieja’s Local Government Board will approve two new agreements on Friday to move forward with the large-scale transformation of the Eras de la Sal, one of the city’s most significant urban, cultural and tourism regeneration projects.

The first measure is the execution project for Phase Two, with an investment of 10,485,452 euros including VAT and a planned duration of 24 months. The works will include the remodelling of Calle Salero, construction of a new open-air Habaneras auditorium and full restoration of the former Marina Internacional slipway.

The new seafront auditorium will host the International Habaneras and Polyphony Competition, as well as concerts and major outdoor events throughout the year. It will seat 1,502 people and will be integrated into the existing port landscape, preserving historic maritime elements while opening the seating area towards Torrevieja Bay.

In parallel, the council will launch a 55,296-euro contract to design the museography for the future Sea Museum, with a five-month timeframe for the basic and execution project. The wider योजना will also create the new Paseo de la Sal, linking key waterfront areas and forming part of a broader cultural complex celebrating Torrevieja’s maritime and salt-producing heritage.
