Emergency services have rescued an 83-year-old man who was found unconscious in the sea at Castillico Beach in Santiago de la Ribera, in the municipality of San Javier.
The man was discovered in the water and pulled to safety by responders, who treated him at the scene. He was later transferred by ambulance to Los Arcos del Mar Menor Hospital for further medical care.
Officials have not confirmed the circumstances that led to the incident, and no further details about his condition have been released.
