The Guardia Civil in the Region of Murcia has arrested a British man and woman on suspicion of attempted murder in San Javier.
The arrests form part of Operation Esbroya 24, an investigation linked to a serious incident which took place in November 2024 in the district of Santiago de la Ribera.
According to investigators, the two suspects are alleged to have been involved in the attack. Both were detained by officers in Murcia and are being treated as suspected perpetrators of attempted homicide.
The Guardia Civil has not released further details about the circumstances of the incident, but enquiries remain ongoing as part of the operation.
