Aquópolis Torrevieja has hosted the first edition of its Children’s and Youth Aquathlon, attracting 101 participants aged between 6 and 17. The event took place yesterday morning inside the water park and is described as the first competition of its kind in the local area.

Young athletes completed a run–swim–run course, with distances adapted to each age category. Organisers said the format allowed many participants to experience their first multi-discipline competition, while promoting effort, teamwork and respect.

Beyond the competitive element, the morning was designed as a family-friendly sporting celebration. All participants received a race number, commemorative gifts, refreshments and prizes, as well as a free entry ticket to Aquópolis Torrevieja for the current season.

The initiative was organised in collaboration with Torrevieja Town Hall’s Sports Department, Aquópolis Torrevieja and Du Cross Events. Organisers have highlighted the strong turnout and positive response from families, and say they hope to stage further editions in the future.
