A five-month-old puppy is back home safely after falling approximately eight metres down a cliff in the Aguamarina area of Orihuela Costa over the weekend.
Local Police were alerted after reports that the young dog had become trapped at the bottom of a steep, rocky slope in an area that was difficult to access. When officers arrived, they found the puppy shaken and nervous but still conscious.
Police carefully made their way down the cliffside, secured the area and lifted the animal back to safety. The puppy was then reunited with its owners, who took it to a veterinary clinic for a full check-up.
Municipal sources have confirmed that, despite the fall, the dog did not suffer any serious injuries. Officers’ swift response ensured a safe and happy ending, with the young puppy quickly returned to its family.
