Torrevieja City Council has announced the 17th edition of its Young Entrepreneurs Awards, aimed at encouraging and supporting new business initiatives in the municipality. The call for entries has been published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante.

The scheme has a total budget of 12,000 euros. Applications open on 28 May 2026 and close on 8 September 2026, and must be submitted online via the municipal website.

Three prizes will be awarded: 7,000 euros for first place, 3,500 euros for second, and 1,500 euros for third. Projects created between 1 September 2025 and 31 August 2026 are eligible, particularly those linked to tourism, local commerce, new technologies, the environment, culture, sport, leisure or building rehabilitation.

Councillor for Employment, Local Development and Entrepreneurship Domingo Paredes has said the awards are designed to help young people turn their ideas into reality. Projects will be assessed on criteria including viability, innovation, job creation, environmental commitment and social impact.
