Two men are in hospital with serious injuries after a stabbing during a fight in Torrevieja, Alicante province.
The Guardia Civil said it received reports of the incident at around 11am on Monday. Both men, aged 57 and 61, suffered knife wounds and were taken to Torrevieja Hospital. One of them went into cardiorespiratory arrest and had to be resuscitated by emergency crews at the scene.
The Emergency Information and Coordination Centre mobilised one SAMU unit and two Basic Life Support ambulances to treat the injured men. After receiving initial care, both were transferred to hospital, where they remain admitted.
The Guardia Civil has confirmed that investigations are ongoing as officers work to clarify the full circumstances surrounding the fight.
