Thousands of people flocked to Parque Antonio Soria on Saturday evening for one of the standout days of this year’s Feria de Mayo in Torrevieja. After heavy rain on Friday, the sunshine returned, helping to create a lively and festive atmosphere that lasted well into the night.

Casetas were busy from mid-afternoon, serving tapas, montaditos and drinks, while sevillanas were danced across the fairground. The central stage once again became a focal point, with Maribel López and Francisco Reyes hosting the evening’s performances.

The programme included postponed performances from the Mery Dance Academy, whose students impressed with their coordination and passion. The Paya’s Dance School and the QK Dance Academy from La Mata also received warm applause for their colourful flamenco displays.

The highlight of the night was the Seville-based group Raya Evolution, formerly known as Raya Real. With more than 25 years on stage, they delivered a vibrant flamenquito set, prompting hundreds to sing along. Authorities confirmed there were no significant incidents, with Local Police, Civil Guard and Civil Protection ensuring the event ran smoothly.
