Almoradí has taken steps to position itself as a leading economic force in the Vega Baja, challenging Orihuela’s traditional role as the area’s main driver of growth. The announcement followed a meeting between Mayor María Gómez, Town Planning Councillor Luciano Martínez and Ester Olivas, Director General for Strategic Projects at the Generalitat Valenciana.

The council highlighted Almoradí’s strategic location, strong transport links and the availability of industrial and commercial land. Officials also pointed to ongoing work to modernise local planning rules to better meet the needs of businesses and investors.

The recent final approval of Modification 8 to the town’s General Urban Development Plan will release প্রায় 1.4 million square metres of industrial and tertiary land. The governing team described this as a key step towards attracting new companies, creating jobs and supporting long-term economic growth.

Gómez said the municipality is laying the foundations for Almoradí’s future by preparing to attract investment and generate new employment opportunities in a sustainable and orderly way. The town will also soon feature on the Generalitat Valenciana’s industrial land portal, increasing its visibility to national and international investors.
