A fifty-three-year-old man suffered second-degree burns while fishing in L’Albufera on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred around one o’clock when his fishing rod made contact with a high-tension cable. Emergency services, including an advanced life support unit, quickly arrived on the scene to provide medical assistance.
The medical team treated the man for his burns on-site before transporting him to La Fe Hospital for further care. Authorities have not released details about his current condition, but the quick response from emergency personnel likely helped to mitigate the severity of his injuries.
This incident serves as a reminder for outdoor sports enthusiasts to be vigilant about their surroundings, particularly in areas where power lines may be present. Fishermen and other recreational users are encouraged to observe safety precautions to avoid similar accidents in the future.
