During the ordinary plenary session for September, the Torrevieja corporation discussed a motion from the Popular Party group urging the Spanish government to address critical needs in the N-332 variant project. Additionally, the council approved the initial implementation of a low emission zone, set to begin on the first of January, two thousand twenty-seven. Federico Alarcón, the councillor for Safety and Traffic, explained that all vehicles with the appropriate DGT label would be allowed access, along with those registered in the city without the label. Despite concerns raised by Vox regarding the necessity of such measures, the initiative aims to tackle greenhouse gas emissions in Torrevieja.

In a related matter, a motion presented by PSOE to strengthen municipal cybersecurity was not approved, as the council stated that the proposed solutions have been in practice since two thousand nineteen. The session highlighted the ongoing debate around infrastructure improvement and environmental regulations, with differing views among the municipal groups.
