The National Police have arrested a man and a woman in Cartagena, Murcia, in connection with a violent incident involving a knife. The pair allegedly assaulted a man after he declined to give them money. The incident reportedly occurred on the eighth of September, when the police received a call about shouting during a dispute in a building on Plaza Padre Marín.

Upon arrival, officers were approached by the victim, who reported that the suspects, whom he had previously assisted financially, had come to his home to request money. Following his refusal, they allegedly entered forcefully and attacked him with a knife on four separate occasions.

One of the stabbings impacted the victim’s lung, necessitating urgent medical care and his transfer to hospital. Meanwhile, the assailants reportedly stole a wallet containing cash before fleeing the scene.

The suspects have been detained and are facing charges of attempted homicide and robbery with violence. They have been presented to judicial authorities and will remain in provisional custody while proceedings unfold.
