Emergency services have reported the tragic death of a twenty-eight-year-old motorcyclist following a collision with a car on the AP-7 motorway, in the direction of Cartagena, close to Los Alcázares. The incident occurred late on Saturday night at approximately twenty-three twenty-eight hours.

A patrol from the Civil Guard was on-site at the time and made an urgent call to the emergency services, highlighting that the motorcyclist had been struck by the vehicle and lay on the roadway, requesting immediate medical assistance.

A Mobile Emergency Unit was dispatched, including paramedics from the Emergency and Urgent Care Management 061. However, upon their arrival, they were only able to certify the young man’s unfortunate death at the scene.

The Civil Guard is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. This tragic event has once again highlighted the importance of road safety as the community mourns the loss of a young life.
