The National Police have arrested two men, aged thirty-eight and forty, in Alicante for their alleged involvement in the theft of twelve motorcycles over the course of three months. The operation began after an increase in motorcycle thefts was detected in a specific area of the city. Investigators noticed a common modus operandi among several cases and discovered that helmets and accessories were being sold in second-hand shops.

Following the identification of the suspects, police executed a search warrant at their residence. During the search, officers seized five helmets, identification documents, and various accessories, alongside parts from dismantled motorcycles.

Both arrested individuals have been charged with twelve counts of vehicle theft or robbery. Additionally, one of the men presented officers with a false identity document, leading to further charges of forgery. Both individuals, who have prior criminal records for property crimes, have been placed at the disposal of the Magistrate’s Court on duty in Alicante.
