A forty-seven-year-old British man has been hospitalised after a bull gored him during the ‘bous cerrils’ fiesta in Pedreguer, Alicante. The incident occurred on the afternoon of Thursday, July seventeenth, when the animal struck the man’s leg, causing a severe injury that required immediate medical attention.
Local police reported that the man was taken to Denia Hospital, where he remains in stable condition. The ‘bous cerrils’ fiesta is a traditional celebration in the region, but such incidents can occur during these events.
On the same day, a French father and his two small children, aged two and five, were also transferred to the same hospital after they were hit by a speeding drunk driver in nearby Xàbia. Authorities are investigating the incident involving the driver.
This series of events highlights the risks associated with festivities and road safety in the area. Residents and visitors are urged to exercise caution during these celebrations.
