A head-on collision occurred this afternoon on the TF-5 motorway in San Juan de la Rambla, injuring a man and a woman. According to emergency services, the crash took place at kilometre sixty-five, leaving both individuals trapped in their vehicles. Firefighters worked to rescue them from the wreckage.

The injured parties, a seventy-year-old man and a sixty-six-year-old woman, both suffered moderate injuries. The man sustained injuries to his arms and legs and was transported to Hospiten Bellevue Hospital. The woman, who suffered arm injuries, was taken to Hospital Universitario de Canarias for further treatment.

The accident prompted a significant emergency response, with multiple resources deployed, including medical personnel from SUC, two advanced life-support ambulances, and one basic support unit. The Guardia Civil and the Highways Department were also present to manage traffic and assist with road clearance.

This incident follows another serious collision on the same stretch of road, where six people were injured just two weeks prior. Concerns about safety and traffic conditions on the TF-5 remain high, especially given recent accidents and ongoing roadworks reducing the stretch to one lane in each direction.
