Five individuals sustained injuries following a traffic accident on Sunday in Elche. The incident took place on the CV eighty five one road and involved two vehicles. Emergency services received the alert around six thirty in the evening and quickly mobilised resources to the scene.

Two basic life support units, one transport unit, and a medicalised SAMU unit were dispatched to assist the injured. Among the victims were two men aged twenty two and forty, a thirty six-year-old woman, and two infants aged two months and ten months respectively.

All injured parties were transported to the Hospital del Vinalopó and the General Hospital of Elche, initially reporting contusions, though further details regarding their condition have not been released. Authorities have clarified that the incident occurred entirely within the municipality of Elche, countering earlier reports suggesting it took place in Dolores.

Local officials and the police in Dolores confirmed that they have no record of the incident and referred to the road as commonly known as “the Lion road,” which runs along the northern edge of the Hondo region.
