A two-year-old girl has died after drowning in a private swimming pool in Finestrat today. The Centro de Información y Coordinación de Urgencias reported that they received the emergency call around twelve forty. An ambulance from the Servicio de Ayuda Médica Urgente rushed to the scene to provide assistance.

Prior to the arrival of emergency personnel, family members attempted basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation with guidance from a CICU doctor over the phone. Sadly, when the ambulance arrived, the medical team initiated advanced resuscitation procedures but were unable to revive the child.

The emergency response team confirmed her death on site after exhausting all efforts. Such incidents underline the critical importance of pool safety and supervision for young children.
