Man, 83, dies while snorkelling at Benidorm beach

An 83-year-old man has died while snorkelling at Poniente beach in Benidorm on Sunday. The Alicante Emergency Information and Coordination Centre (CICU) dispatched a SAMU ambulance to the scene. The medical team carried out advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other stabilisation procedures in an attempt to save him. Despite their efforts, the man did not respond to treatment and was pronounced dead at the scene.
