Torrevieja recorded 10,089 criminal offences in 2025, an increase of 8.3% compared with 2024, when 9,316 offences were registered. The figures from Spain’s Interior Ministry include 9,067 conventional crimes and 1,022 cybercrimes. Orihuela’s Coastal Department has completed a series of emergency and environmental drills at locations along the municipality’s coastline. Two people have been injured in a traffic collision involving a motorbike and a car on the N-332, near Torrevieja’s municipal cemetery. The crash happened at around 9.30pm on Wednesday evening. The emergency medical coordination centre received the alert and sent a SAMU medical unit and an urgent transport ambulance to the scene.
