The investigation into the disappearance of three-year-old Oliver Pugh continues as Spanish authorities suspect parental abduction. The blonde-haired toddler was last seen in Marbella, Costa del Sol, on 4 July. Police confirmed that Oliver and his father are British citizens, while his mother is a Russian national. Although Oliver’s father reported him missing a month after his disappearance, officials believe the mother violated a court order preventing her from taking him out of Spain.

According to police, the case is being treated seriously, with a belief that the mother may have taken Oliver to Russia. A spokesperson from the Spanish Interior Ministry indicated that the publication and removal of missing person posters is directed by police units based on the case’s progress. The National Missing Persons Centre had previously published an appeal for information about Oliver, but this has since been taken down.

Police have not disclosed further details, including whether an international arrest warrant has been issued for the mother. The absence of clear communication about the ongoing investigation reflects the sensitive nature of the case.
