At approximately twelve forty-five on Thursday, police heard a gunshot from inside the home, prompting immediate entry where they discovered the man’s lifeless body.

The deceased had been barricaded in his family home since the early hours of Tuesday. Surrounding him was an extensive security presence from the Civil Guard, with no hostages involved. His family had been actively trying to negotiate his surrender, calling out for a doctor as they sought to provide support. The local mayor, Juanjo Castelló, expressed his deep sorrow over the outcome and extended his best wishes to the family on behalf of the community, urging media outlets to allow the family privacy during this difficult time.
