On Sunday morning, Maritime Rescue successfully intercepted a boat carrying twelve migrants off the southern coast of Ibiza. The operation occurred at approximately five oh eight and involved prompt action to ensure the safety of those aboard.
According to the Government Delegation in the Balearic Islands, the migrants originated from North Africa. This incident is part of ongoing maritime activities aimed at overseeing and managing unauthorized migration in the region.
Authorities continue to emphasize the importance of maritime safety and the humane treatment of individuals seeking refuge. The Balearic Islands have experienced an increase in migration attempts, prompting collaboration between various agencies.
Maritime Rescue remains vigilant in monitoring waters around the islands, undertaking rescues as necessary and addressing the complexities of migration in the Mediterranean Sea.
