A serious incident occurred in Burela, Lugo, as a vehicle struck multiple pedestrians, injuring seven individuals gravely and leaving one in critical condition. Reports indicate that an eighty-year-old man drove into a festive area, hitting the victims for reasons currently under investigation. Importantly, the driver has tested negative for alcohol.
The victims are associated with Eu Son, a non-profit foundation dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. Emergency services transported all injured parties to the referral hospital, where they remain conscious and in care.
Local authorities, including the police and the Civil Guard, are handling the investigation into the incident. Mayor Carmela López expressed her support for the victims, describing the situation as
