An eight-year-old British boy is currently receiving treatment in a Majorcan hospital after suffering serious injuries in a fall from a third-floor balcony at the Aparthotel Vibra Bay in Ibiza. The boy fell while playing on the balcony, prompting immediate medical assistance. He was first taken to a private clinic in Ibiza Town for emergency surgery before being airlifted to Son Espases Hospital in Palma due to the lack of a paediatric intensive care unit in Ibiza.

Local reports reveal that the child has a severe traumatic brain injury, a skull fracture, and cerebral oedema, as well as injuries to his chest and a broken jaw. The Civil Guard has stated that they are treating this incident as an accident, but a thorough investigation is ongoing.

In a separate incident earlier today, a twenty-four-year-old British holidaymaker fell from his hotel in Puerto Banus, Marbella, and is reportedly in critical condition. Authorities believe alcohol may have been a factor in that incident as well. Meanwhile, another two Irish holidaymakers suffered injuries after an accident on a golf course near Marbella over the weekend.
