The Central Operational Unit of the Civil Guard has issued a new report to the Supreme Court, correcting the purchase price of a property bought by former Minister José Luis Ábalos in Colombia. Originally stated as two point one million euros, the correct amount is seven hundred and fifty one euros, attributed to a confusion with currency conversion between Colombian pesos and American dollars.
The UCO explained that the property, which is located in Moralia, was actually acquired for two point five million Colombian pesos. This error was noted in a new report following a request from the judge overseeing the investigation into Ábalos’s financial activities, known as ‘case Koldo’. The original report, which led to this clarification, was published on the seventeenth of March and has prompted significant debate surrounding the nature of the findings.
