Alberto Núñez Feijóo, the leader of the Popular Party (PP), has stated that his position on the management of the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, has remained unchanged since last October 29. Despite the circumstances, Feijóo has not shown support for Mazón, assuring that both the central and regional administrations have not been up to the task of dealing with the environmental emergency.

During his presence at the General Assembly of the Association of Self-Employed Workers, Feijóo distributed responsibilities while highlighting that Mazón’s response is focused on the recovery of the Valencian Community. Despite media pressure, Feijóo did not reveal whether he has urged Mazón to resign after the delays in his response to the emergency situation.

From Moncloa, Feijóo has been pointed out as responsible for Mazón’s alleged lies, with the rhetorical question about his silence and support. This situation has generated debate, even among opposition leaders such as José Muñoz of the PSPV, who questions Feijóo’s lack of statements in response to social demands for Mazón’s resignation.

The issue of the response to the emergency remains a focus of controversy in Valencian politics, while Feijóo stresses that the PP’s position is clear and will not change frequently, marking a difference with the PSOE’s approach in its decisions.
