King returns to Madrid after cataract surgery
King Felipe the Sixth has returned to Madrid after undergoing cataract surgery in Oviedo.
The King had an operation on his left eye on Saturday at the Fernández-Vega Ophthalmological Institute.
The procedure lasted around half an hour and was completed without complications.
He spent the night at the clinic before leaving on Sunday morning.
His medical team expects a quick recovery, although he has been advised to use eye drops for several days and avoid strenuous physical activity.
