Police investigating Madrid murder as possible gender based violence
Police are investigating the killing of a 52-year-old woman in Madrid, in a case being examined as a possible gender-based murder.
She was stabbed several times in the entrance to her residential building in the Carabanchel district on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency crews resuscitated her at the scene and took her to hospital, but she later died from her injuries.
No arrest has been announced, and investigators are working to identify the attacker.
Spain’s Government Delegation against Gender Violence is gathering information about the case.
