Sanchez chooses Margarita Robles as second choice in election
Pedro Sánchez has chosen Margarita Robles as number two on the PSOE list for the upcoming general election.
The defence minister replaces María Jesús Montero, who held the position in 2023.
Robles’ appointment comes as the party finalises its candidates ahead of the 29 November vote, with several senior ministers also securing places on regional lists.
The PSOE will ratify the full slate at a meeting of its Federal Committee this weekend.
