Three people have sustained serious injuries after a bus, carrying sixty passengers, overturned on the C-32 motorway at Santa Susanna in Barcelona. The incident occurred shortly after midday at kilometre one hundred and twenty-seven point seven, leading to the closure of the road in the direction of Barcelona. The bus left the roadway and came to rest on a slope.

Although the majority of passengers exited the vehicle unscathed, approximately fifty-three individuals required assistance from emergency services. Of the three passengers with the most severe injuries, two were taken to Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, while another was admitted to Mataró Hospital with a fourth person also receiving treatment for minor injuries.

Most passengers on board the bus were tourists from various countries, travelling from Lloret de Mar, Girona, to Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport. The transport company has dispatched another vehicle to continue the journey for any passengers who were unhurt and wish to proceed.

Emergency services responded swiftly, deploying five ambulances, two medical helicopters, and fourteen fire units to the scene. In response to the accident, Civil Protection has placed the PROCICAT emergency plan on heightened alert.
