On Saturday afternoon, a shooting incident occurred at a bar located in the Los Nietos urbanisation of Carmona, Seville, leading to the deaths of two individuals and serious injuries to another. Emergency services received multiple alerts around four forty-five PM regarding the incident on Azahar street, where witnesses claimed that an individual armed with a rifle had opened fire at the bar. Reports indicated that two or three people were seen lying on the ground as a result of the attack.

According to testimonies, the incident involved two assailants who arrived at the bar wielding shotguns. One of the victims, a resident aged over seventy, attempted to intervene and was shot, leading to his death. The other deceased is identified as José, the fifty-five-year-old owner of the bar. A third individual sustained severe injuries and has been taken to a hospital in Seville for treatment.

It is reported that the alleged attackers are known within the urbanisation, having property there but residing in the San Pablo neighbourhood of Seville. Shortly after the incident, the Guardia Civil’s Judicial Police Unit took over the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation, which seeks to bring clarity to the events that unfolded at the bar on that tragic afternoon.
