A fatal accident occurred in Susinos del Páramo, Burgos, on Sunday morning, resulting in the death of a man and severe injuries to a woman. The van involved veered off the road and collided with a tree along the BU-V-6063 road just before nine fifteen this morning.

Emergency services received a call alerting them to the incident and the need for assistance for two seriously injured individuals, one of whom was trapped. The regional emergency centre issued an alert to the Traffic Civil Guard, Burgos firefighters, and Health Emergency Services.

A medicalised helicopter, a mobile intensive care unit, a basic life support ambulance, and a medical team from the health centre in Villadiego were dispatched to the scene. Sadly, medical staff confirmed the death of the male victim at the location.

The woman was airlifted to the Complejo Asistencial de Burgos for immediate medical attention. The local authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
