The local police in Palma, Spain, are investigating a forty-four-year-old Colombian man and a twenty-six-year-old Colombian woman for multiple offences against road safety. The incident occurred on the night of August the eleventh in Joaquim Verdaguer Street, Playa de Palma, involving five vehicles. The police were alerted to a vehicle that had collided with parked cars and was attempting to flee.

Upon arrival, officers from the SETUR twenty twenty-five patrol found the offending vehicle a few metres away, immobilised due to damage. Inside were both suspects, who were visibly intoxicated. The man had driven the vehicle which lost control and struck four parked cars. Witnesses reported that the couple switched seats, with the woman attempting to drive away before the vehicle broke down.

Breathalyser tests revealed the man had a blood alcohol level of zero point eighty-six milligrams per litre in breath, while the woman registered zero point ninety-six milligrams, both figures significantly above the legal limit of zero point twenty-five milligrams. Additionally, it was confirmed that the man was unlicensed to drive.

Both individuals were informed of their investigatory status and their requirement to appear before a judge when summoned. The necessary police reports were filed, and the vehicle was impounded by municipal authorities.
