A fifty-seven-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly confining his girlfriend in his home for twelve days in Llíria, Valencia. According to the Civil Guard, he kept her locked away, restricting her access to the internet and mobile phones, and forced her to engage in sexual activities that he recorded without her consent. The situation came to light when the woman managed to contact her ex-partner, who reported her predicament to the authorities.

Following a series of investigations, the Civil Guard collected information regarding the man’s aggressive behaviour and his possession of illegal weapons. When the woman escaped during a moment of inattention, she contacted the Civil Guard and provided them with crucial evidence about her ordeal.

On July twenty-eighth, law enforcement officials executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence, uncovering two revolvers, a shotgun, and a significant amount of cocaine along with drug-processing equipment. The firearms were found to be illegal and modified, corroborating the victim’s claims.

Charges against the suspect include unlawful detention, sexual assault, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, and drug trafficking. The investigation is ongoing, with the findings submitted to the First Instance and Instruction Court number four of Llíria.
