In a tragic incident on a Spanish motorway, twenty-eight-year-old Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota was reportedly driving when he crashed his Lamborghini, resulting in the deaths of both him and his brother, twenty-five-year-old André Silva. The crash occurred early last Thursday in the Zamora province and is suspected to involve excessive speeding, with police indicating a possible tyre blowout as the cause of the accident.
The vehicle went off the A52 motorway near Palacios de Sanabria and burst into flames. According to Spain’s Guardia Civil, tyre marks were found approximately one hundred metres from the crash site, suggesting the car was likely overtaking and exceeding the legal speed limit of one hundred twenty kilometres per hour.
While the investigation continues, officials stated that the road in question should have been driveable and that the crash area was not deemed an accident
