A tragic incident has occurred at the Hospital de La Fe in Valencia, where a fire broke out in the Psychiatric Wing. The blaze necessitated the evacuation of multiple patients from both the seventh floor, dedicated to psychiatry, and the sixth floor of the facility. Firefighters acted swiftly to extinguish the flames and ensure the safety of those inside.

Sadly, a woman has lost her life as a result of the fire. The local health authorities, led by the Valencia’s Conselleria de Sanidad, have confirmed this heartbreaking news. Regional president Carlos Mazón is maintaining constant communication with the health ministry to track the situation.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are underway by the National Police. Reports indicate that officers have approached a patient from the psychiatric area as they were leaving the hospital and are currently seeking another individual.
