A significant explosion occurred at the Casa Javi bar on Fontes Street in Lo Pagán, leaving thirteen individuals injured, with two in critical condition. Emergency services responded promptly following over twenty calls to twelve thirteen from local residents reporting the blast. The explosion also led to notable property damage, although firefighters confirmed that the structure of the building remains intact.

The two critically injured victims were transported to Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital in Murcia, with one admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and another to the burn unit. One other seriously injured individual is receiving treatment at Los Arcos del Mar Menor Hospital, while six others with minor injuries have been directed to hospitals in San Javier and Cartagena.

Emergency personnel, including local police, fire services, and civil protection teams, remain at the scene gathering information. The President of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras, has expressed concern and support for the victims’ families through social media.
