At least six people sustained injuries following an accident involving a bus on the A-seven motorway towards Alicante, close to the Cabezo de Torres exit. The accident happened shortly before noon on an overcast day, when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, leading to the bus overturning on the road.

Emergency services were activated immediately, with numerous calls to the emergency number prompting a swift response. Rescue teams, including ambulances, firefighters, and local police from Murcia, worked quickly to assist those affected.

The passengers on board were part of a travel programme organised by the Spanish Institute of Older People and Social Services, commonly known as Imserso, heading to Roquetas del Mar in Almería.

The General Directorate of Traffic has reported substantial traffic complications due to the accident, including significant delays in the area, as both lanes of the motorway are currently closed. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and advise drivers to seek alternative routes.
