Coldplay have rescheduled the last two Wembley Stadium shows on their current run after disruption from London Underground strikes. In a post on social media, the band said: “We’re sorry to announce that, due to planned industrial action on the London Underground, we’ve been forced to reschedule our final two concerts of the current Wembley Stadium run. “Without a Tube service, it’s impossible to get 82,000 people to the concert and home again safely, and therefore no event licence can be granted for the nights of 7th and 8th September. “To avoid cancelling the shows, our only option is to reschedule.” The 7 September show moves to 6 September, and the 8 September show shifts to 12 September. Tickets remain valid for the new dates, while fans unable to attend can obtain a full refund by noon on 2 September. Returned tickets go back on general sale at 11:00 on 3 September via Ticketmaster. The band said the August 30, 31 and September 3 and 4 shows will go ahead as scheduled.
