Strictly Come Dancing’s professional dancers will embody different eras of Britney Spears as part of icons week. A group routine nods to videos including Oops!… I Did It Again and is set to feature during Sunday’s results show. On Saturday, the show will pay tribute to a range of music stars as couples perform icon-inspired dances.

Among those honoured are Beyoncé, Harry Styles, Celine Dion, Johnny Cash, Cher, Usher, Prince, the Spice Girls, Dolly Parton and Ariana Grande.

On Sunday, Amy Dowden will wear a pleated skirt, knee-length socks and a white shirt in a nod to Spears’s Baby One More Time look. Katya Jones sports a red latex bodysuit echoing the Oops!… I Did It Again outfit, while Nancy Xu performs in a blue air-hostess uniform inspired by Toxic. Jowita Przystal will wear an outfit drawn from the bejewelled look, and Nadiya Bychkova pays homage to the Circus era in sparkly black hot pants paired with a ringmaster-style red and gold top. The Sunday show will feature Rachel Zegler performing Don’t Cry For Me Argentina from Evita. The programme airs on Saturday at 6:25pm and the results show on Sunday at 7:15pm.
