Vicky Pattison says she finds Strictly Come Dancing intimidating and overwhelming but is keen to push herself beyond her comfort zone. The former Geordie Shore star is paired with Kai Widdrington for the BBC show and describes the early training as tough. In an interview with Women’s Health UK, she said: “All the pros are carved like angels, and I’m there sweating away in my gym gear.” She added that the environment feels both intimidating and overwhelming, but she hopes to prove she can rise to the challenge.

She warned that cardio may be the hardest part, noting that the other contestants are very fit. Pattison, who rose to fame on Geordie Shore, has previously spoken about taking part in jungle TV challenges and said a friend once commented that she could change people’s perceptions. She has started therapy again as she deals with a sense of imposter syndrome. Pattison and her husband Ercan Ramadan are undecided about parenthood, and she said society is moving toward the view that motherhood is not essential for fulfilment.
