Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi will headline BST Hyde Park in London and Roundhay Festival in Leeds next summer, marking his return to live performances. The 28-year-old, who paused touring after Glastonbury 2023, came back to the Somerset festival this year for a short set on the Pyramid Stage. He said he wanted to ‘finish what I couldn’t finish the first time round’ while managing Tourette syndrome, with the crowd helping to sing along to ‘Someone You Loved’.

Capaldi has announced a UK and Ireland tour, describing the sell-out shows as the ‘most incredible, surreal feeling’. Ahead of the festival appearance, he played several secret gigs and made guest appearances, and in an interview with the therapy charity BetterHelp spoke of a ‘rush of adrenaline’ before calming himself for his first warm-up gig in Edinburgh. A Netflix documentary, Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now, released in April 2023, depicted his Tourette’s and the decision to step back from the spotlight two years earlier.

Capaldi will perform at Roundhay Festival on Saturday 4 July 2026 and make his BST Hyde Park debut on 11 July 2026. Roundhay is a new festival in Leeds created with Leeds City Council, and Capaldi is the second headliner announced for BST. Jim King, chief executive of AEG Presents UK and European Festivals, said the slot in 2026 feels fitting as Capaldi returns to touring. The BST line‑up this year included Sabrina Carpenter, Neil Young and Stevie Wonder; Roundhay Park has hosted the Rolling Stones, Madonna, Michael Jackson and Ed Sheeran. Tickets for both events go on sale on Friday 19 September 2025 at 09:00.
