San Miguel de Salinas is preparing to celebrate a new edition of its Carnival on Sunday, 15 February, a festive event that will fill the streets of the municipality with colour, joy, and animation. The programme will start at 17:30 and is designed for audiences of all ages, aiming to enjoy the carnival in the street and encourage community participation. One of the central events will be the costume parade, which will travel along Calle 19 de Abril. Simultaneously, Plaza de la Libertad will host circus-themed games and challenges, enlivened by the Batucada Fnix, which will bring rhythm and energy throughout the afternoon. Music and humour will also be present with the performance of the Chirigota Los Picoesquina, and as a grand finale, the election of the King and Queen of Carnival 2026 will take place, one of the most anticipated moments of the event. Additionally, throughout the day, food trucks will be available from 12:00 to 22:00, offering a wide variety of food for attendees to recharge and prolong the celebration. The Town Hall encourages all citizens to participate, come in costume, and share a festive afternoon in a family-friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
